New Trends in Gigabit Ethernet Technology

Gigabit Ethernet has perfect standards, good compatibility and good performance-price ratio. As more and more new network technologies are applied to Gigabit Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet has brought vigorous development opportunities. We have entered the civilian era of Gigabit Ethernet. Yu Bing, vice president of technology of Shenzhen Jizhao Communication Company, said that rapid market changes and user needs have put forward higher requirements for Gigabit Ethernet equipment. The development of new technologies that adapt to market changes and application needs is a high-speed growth of Gigabit Ethernet. Reliable guarantee.

What are RJ45 connectors and RJ45 connectors?

RJ45 usually refers to standardized by IEC (60)603-7, using 8 positions (8-pin) modular jack or plug defined by international connector standards, so RJ45 connector is also known as 8P8C crystal head or crystal head, and the crystal head is male. RJ45 network interface is widely used in LAN and ADSL broadband Internet users network equipment between the network cable (called five line or twisted pair) connection.

Wire sequence of RJ45 plug

The twisted pair can play the role of anti-interference!!!!! Of the 8 wires of the network cable, 1236 are used to transmit digital signals, that is, 45 are used for our network data transmission, analog signals, that is, telephone pulse signal transmission, 78 are used to supply power to IP phones. Of course, POE support is required. In fact, under 100M network operation, all eight cores are usually used, because 100M network transmission requires high line requirements, not only 1.36, otherwise the network operation will be unstable.

The role of network transformer

Generally, there is a device behind the RJ45 port, which is black cuboid. After checking the description of this device, the internal structure is something similar to a transformer. Judging from the schematic diagram of the device, this device seems to be used to filter out common mode interference. At the same time, I also found a problem: I made an RJ45 adapter board, and after adding a network transformer mentioned above between the two RJ45 connectors, I found that the computer could not recognize it. Why?

Working principle of network transformer

A transformer is a device that transforms AC voltage, current and impedance. When an AC current is passed through the primary coil, an AC magnetic flux is generated in the iron core (or magnetic core), so that a voltage (or current) is induced in the secondary coil.

What is the difference between CAT5 information module and RJ45?

RJ45 refers to a physical interface, which is generally used for Ethernet access. The common network access methods are RJ45 ports, such as the network port of the computer, the network port of the switch, the router, and the information module you said. To put it bluntly, the interface that can only be inserted into the 8-core RJ45 crystal head can be called RJ45 port.
